Results from Primary School Surveys

Surveys have been carried out with KS2 children at Werrington Primary School and St John’s Primary School, to look at what additional provision the young people would like to see in the village.  The results are as follows:

Werrington Primary School – 200 pupils surveyed

178 – Zip Wire

136 – Tyre Swings

125 – BMX Track

93  – Scooter Ramps

Other ideas put forward were monkey bars, obstacle courses, adventure trails, trampolines, gym equipment, athletics track and toilets.

St John’s Primary School – 90 pupils surveyed

When asked if they would like/use a bike track 59 said that they would.  This idea was more popular with Yr4 and Yr5, but less than half of Yr6 pupils were in favour.

Other ideas put forward were zip wire (popular with all year groups), something for skateboards, rope swing, obstacles/bumps/slaloms, circular paths and toilets.

We are in the process of consulting with pupils at Moorside High School and will publish the results once we have them.
